Orlando Business Journal - Orlando tech firm’s bright idea for shoes catches investors’ eyes

When Orlando resident Doug Storer went out at night for his daily run, he worried about unseen road hazards or cars not being able to spot him. So he came up with an idea: headlights for shoes.

Storer and his wife, Renata, started Orlando-based Nighthawk Running in 2013 and created Night Runner LED, a light that attaches to shoes for runners and hikers.
