Frequently Asked Questions

Or as we call it, Shoe Light-ology. Read on to be enlightened.

I lost my product manual.  Where can I find a new one?

You can download manuals for

Night Runner / Night Trek and Night Trek Xtreme / Night Shift here!

I pulled out the little red cover for the USB port, how do I get it back in?
As long as it isn't torn, a bent paperclip can be used to push the cover back into place.

Can I order a single unit, a replacement cord or clip?
Absolutely! Email us at info@nighttechgear.com and we'll send you a purchase link.

Is there an advantage to ordering directly from Night Tech Gear?

By ordering through Night Tech Gear directly, we'll be able to quickly assist you with any future order information or customer service inquiries.

One of my units won’t hold a charge, can I replace the battery?

Our units are sealed to protect them from the elements, which also means the batteries are rechargeable but not replaceable. If this happens, contact us at info@nighttechgear.com for help.

How long should my units last?

With rechargeable batteries, it's best to use them consistently (how's that for motivation to run?!). Leaving them for extended period of time with no charge can reduce the lifespan of the battery. If your battery stops working for some reason, please contact us for a replacement.

What is your warranty?
We have a 90 day warranty on all products purchased through us or one of our recognized affiliates.

What is your return policy?
You have 30 days to return your product to us in as new condition.

Are you having Bluetooth connection issues?

1) Make sure you have downloaded the latest Night Tech Gear, Apple iOS or Android app installed on your phone.
2) Turn both lights on high for 20 minutes, then turn off.
3) Try Bluetooth pairing from each mode, holding for three seconds in each mode (Off, Low, Medium, High and Flashing) until you get the flashing blue pairing light.
4)  Bluetooth Pairing - Open app to Device Connection screen. Make sure two plus signs are showing on the screen. Tap the Left or Right plus sign and select the top item in the list to pair. Repeat for the additional light unit. If a Battery symbol is showing, make sure it says “Disconnected” below. This will insure you start with a fresh pairing. Tap on Battery symbol and select “Connect” to pair.
